A 500kV substation has just been completed by Kharafi National, a leading infrastructure project developer in Egypt. The project is considered the largest constructed plant in East Suhag, a region in Upper Egypt.
The construction of the substation is part of government plans to reducing the interruptions in power that Upper Egypt had been experiencing for a number of years. Built on 27 acres of land, the substation will cater for more than six million citizens in the city.
According to the company, construction of the new plant was achieved while following all COVID-19 precautionary measures.
